It would depend. You could have small cuts, ingrown toe nails or other issues and since it's harder to heal those areas when you have diabetes, you can develop gangrene, diabetic neuropathy-decrease sensation leading to injury. A discussion with your endocrinologist or internist can explain potential issues.

it could be the reason yes but so could many other things it would be best to go to the dr. and see what they think

If the problems don't heal easily, or take longer than normal to heal, it can be a sign of diabetes. One of the many complications of diabetes is that the body takes longer to heal. Diabetes doesn't necessarily cause the foot problems in the first place, though.

there is always that poss ability but only a doctor can tell you that. i was a diabetic and lost my left leg so if i was you i would not wait too long to go see a doctor and find out what is wrong.
