Spot reduction is done only by gym workouts with dieting.

The only thing that will help is cardio. ANY kind of cardio...walking, swimming, anything that gets your blood pumping.....try mixing it up with medicine ball side to side crunches. Drink a lot of water, eat lean protein & veggies and start walking............walking............I know it doesn't sound like much fun, but it's the truth. My cousin is a nutritionist and a personal trainer....that's my source...I asked for you!!!

Do sets of ab workouts such as: situps on slant board, 1 set 12-15 reps, second set 12-15 reps. then do some balancing ball workouts such as putting it between your legs and your legs being a V shape, and just do leg raises about inches off the floor and hold it. Then you can do planking which is stabilizing the muscle. For your love handles, align your body straight, then bend your knee to form a 90 degree with your body. then align your right or left elbow directly under your shoulder, so you are supporting your whole body on your elbow and your knee. lift your body side ways from upper torso to your knee up together. but your knee stays on the ground. Hold it and you will feel your obliques working. hold for as long as you can. let me see... there are many other workouts, when you do sit ups you can try touching right elbow with left knee and the other way too. so your obliques also work. hopefully these suggestions helped. But you need to do some cardio to warm up body and also don't eat 3 hours before you sleep and drink at least 64 oz of water, and definitely eat less red meat and high fat stuff.

Well young man, you are not over weight! And yes with the work/sport you do your upper body would be very toned.Love handles are nice! But yes, ok, you want your whole body trim. Good on you!So understanding the muscles you have in your abdomen will help you focus your work on your abdomen. You have 4 sets of muscels in you abodomen. You have a very thin muscle, rectus muscle, that runs down the middle of your abdoment from the lower rib area to the top of your pubic bone. then you have two other muscles on each side of the rectus muscle that cross over from the lower back/rib cage that attach to the rectus muscle. these muscles not only create the 'six' pack but also support to keep the abdominal organs in place and support your back. The back is not build for taking big loads. the abdomen and your thighs take the load. So how do you get these muscles firm? May different exercises will get them toned and a flat abdomen will be yours. do you have an exercise ball? Go to an exercise store and they will tell you which one will suit you best. the 'softer' the ball is the greater resistance you will get when lying on it and doing your sit ups, cross overs (that is where you will bring your elbow on the rt side to the left side of yoru body), sit ups, and leg raises. All these exercises work those muscles and you will have your wash board stomach.Take carePam

hi. your abs are governed by your body fat %. no amount of exercises on your abs will get them to show. you need to cut to get the abs to show, but bear in mind there may be a drop off in muscle strength and size. if you cut then drop your calories, increase your protein and drop carbs(slightly. you still need carbs for energy, however your body uses these first before relying on fat deposits therefore lowering your carb intake will result in the fat being used more). make sure you still get simple carbs though.
