is it weird for a short guy to date a taller girl?

im a 5'2.5" guy and the girl i like is 5'5" we're both very similar in nearly every way.. i can relate to her past, we both like rock, and the same goes for our attitude .. would it be right if i asked her out?

Of course it would be right.And why is height an issue in the first place? It's not weird at all.If you like this girl, and she likes you back, it wouldn't matter if there was a foot in height difference between you.Don't let such hang-ups result in a missed opportunity.
