Check out the new diet called 5 factor diet on 5factordiet.com. I've heard great things about it and I am going to try it myself.

I've been in your situation. I weighed 235 pounds a few years ago. I lost 100 pounds and became a Certified Personal Trainer because of the inspiration that I got from my own transformation. The gym membership is a must but most people quit or loose motivation to even go to the gym after a few months. A very good idea is to hire a good trainer. Make sure that a "meal plan" that is custom made for you is a part of the deal. Remember that it is 70 to 80 percent what and how much you eat about 10 % sleep and the rest is exercise which is very important if you want that nasty saggy skin to improve. Some people have a great deal of trouble getting rid of the saggy skin once it has been stretched to the max. A portion of that depends on your genetics but there are ways to deal with it. The last resort is having it removed by lazer. You can do all of the abb exercises that you want to and that's great but they won't show until you have removed the fat content. Make sure that your "meal plan" incorporates a few "goodies" that give you comfort. Mine was a small peice of dark chocolate once in awhile. I would have rebelled and lost the whole battle had I not been able to "fudge" a bit. Remember that it is calories in and calories out. You need a deficite of about 3500 calories per week to loose in a healthy way of about 2 pounds per week. You need to get your body moving and incorporate resistance training. The resistance training is great for building your muscles and shaping your body the way that you want it to look. It's kind of like, you are a lump of clay, you are the sculptress so shape it any way you want it to look depending on the amount of time and effort that you are willing to put into it. Good Luck To You!
