...problem, he carries pill in a baggie and keeps them in his truck in case he is out and needs one. Could he get in trouble for not having the actual perscription bottle with him?

Yes, if he does not have a prescription or proof that they are prescribed to him, he can get in trouble. But is it safe for him to drive a truck while taking vicodin?

Not necessarily get in trouble, but there is a good chance he could be detained until it was proven that it is his current prescription.

I have been taking vicodin for ten years. It doesnt matter if you have the prescription bottle with you or not. Viucodin is a narcotic and just having them in your possession while in a motor vehicle, you will go to jail, not get in trouble. If you get into an accident and someone is hurt, you go to prison , no matter if you have no previous record. You are absolutely not allowed to drive while taking vicodin. You cannot take narcotics and drive, you will go to jail.My friend just got busted for this offense and it cost him $10,000 he got jail time, has to go to NA meetings and 2 years probation when it is over and the vicodin didnt even show up in his blood test, but he mentiunoed that he was taking prescripotion vicodin for his back pain and they gave him no mercy. Plus he couldnt take any with him to jail and had to go without anything.,

Yes, needs to be prescribed bottle. Any thing in a baggie you will go to jail, besides chips and sandwiches unless its a crack sandwich?
