I have a friend that has had alcohol problem probably for 4-5 years now and I had always tried to help her with motivational talk she says she'll get better but then gets worse. So I want to know if anyone knows pills that help with alcohol dependecy and is it true that there are pills that will make you gag when you taste alcohol?
Well first off you can't help anybody if they do not want to be helped....................but you can try you don't have to give up......................try to do things with her that will make her feel better about herself or take her mind off of it --------a day at the spa,a massage, vacation, snorkeling, kyaking------------she needs to keep her mind away from whatever she's drowning herself in w/ alcohol................Talk to her be a friend try to understand where she is coming from...why she feels the way she does...............pills are not the answer it's all psycological........

alcoholics usually deny the extent of their illness. so your friend may not be able to help herself to get better, try seeking medical attention. and yes, there is a drug that causes vomiting even at the slightest smell of alcohol (even products with the tiniest amount of alcohol like mouthwash) it's disulfiram antabuse. but it is done with therapy. again, the best way for your friend to get better is to seek professional help. it'll take time but it'll be worth it. the most important thing your friend needs is emotional support to get her through this... goodluck! i hope she gets better...
