No. "Arthritis" broken down means" joint inflamation". There are several types of arthritis, the two most common is Osteo arthritis which usually involves the weight bearing joints such as your knees and hips. Another is Rheumatouid arthritis which is actually a connective tissue disease involving all joints. Water beds are not known to cause arthritis
