Is it true that degree in clinical hypnotherapy

can be accomplished in only 40 hours? I have recently seen a diploma that stated the qualifications were 40 hours of the practice and this diploma was dated 1981. Is it still the same now, or is there perhaps something awry with the information on the certificate.
