Afraid NOT, because most of these types of people NEED the support and structure that aa meetings and the 12 steps program provides... If your bad enough off to be considering going, then you should go because you need help and needing and seeking help are nothing to be ashamed of... after all a mistake isn't a mistake until you refuse to correct it. If your not bad off enough to need these things then just use a spot of self cotrol mate.

You can do it in 1 step. DON'T DRINK. Plain and simple. It's all in your head. Just like quiting smoking. I have done that since Friday the 13th of last month. I quit cold turkey. No patches, nothing but me. You don't need others to quit. You need yourself, and that's it. Don't be weak and rely on someone else to quit for you. Only you can do it. And that's it. Anyone who tells you different is weak themselves and is looking to put the blame on everyone else but themselves. Any addiction that a person has is in their head, and they make a concious choice everytime they use and abuse it. BE STRONG AND QUIT, NOT WEAK AND RELAPSE!
