And failing that, get an abortion. People shouldn't bring a life into this world until they're ready.I agree. Raising a kid takes a lot of responsibility.

i wonder how come parents dont automatically put their child on birth control for that reason. so many whine about abortion but have children themselves, and do nothing to help their children or other children understand the seriousness of it.*shrug*

Word.I wonder what percentage of those 750,000 teens are Christians and what percentage took purity pledges?*EDIT* To bubbles: fixed? So you're for forced sterilization now? WTF, is this Nazi Germany? How can anyone be for forced sterilization? People don't get 'fixed' - dogs get fixed. I though religious types had respect for human life? Disgusting.
I'm not going to buy it for them heck if you can't use a condom then you're to stupid to have sex

Why not take responsiblity and wait until you're in a stable, loving, supportive marriage and than have children? That way your child could have a mother and father who know what they're doing.

some can't afford it! some are not smart and get pressured into having sex!when i was younger my mom said she was going to put me on the pill! well my our health insurecne laps she lost her job and we had not health insurance! now if you do research you will see there are more underclass people who are already having the choice of picking between heat and food! rent and car inseurance (have to have that BS) so paying out anything over 1 dollar is too much more so if your a parent struggling with this and you have pounded into your childs head not to have sex because of it! maybe if americans didn't treat sex as such a bad things soon as the teens find a place to do it maybe they would do something else! look at other culters and their children know about sex prior to going to school!if your a teen and someone says no bad dont' do that! what do most of them do! they go do it! it's a gift lets treat it that way!

I'm with you there sister.Unfortunately, if you are under the fearsome spell of the Catholic church you will be damned forever if you use contraception.Ironic isn't it, that the Catholic church preys on the poor and the least well-educated?

Yes. But while I agree with you that you should be responsible enough to buy birth control if you want to have sex, truth is, even in America, education in that area is still lacking. Not only because of legislations which prevent schools from teaching safer sex, but also in inner-cities and rural areas. Not to mention the fact that condoms are actually still unaffordable for some people, and if they don't have a PP or other center in their area, they can't access them for free.

Yeah, I say birth control is the answer. Lets just put all kids on birth control starting at say the age 12 and then watch how the STD epidemic rises. Teach abstinence, damn it and know where the hell your children are is my answer.

Some parents would rather believe their daughters and sons won't have sex. They are blind to the world but not thinking that kids will try it.
