Hepatitis C is a blood borne pathogen that can be transmitted sexually. However, that is not the sole method of trasmission. Any incidence where infected blood can be introduced into a non-infected blood stream would enable teh transmission as well. For example sharing needles with drug use or blood transfusion, although blood transfusion should be pre checked, so transfusion is much less likely.
