I ran across some pro-life information, and the claim made was there was "no medical reason to abort".No- not talking about Ectopic pregnancy (Tubal pregnancy) as they said no viable baby could come of it.I find it hard to believe in all the catagory of medical situations- there is not one medical situation where it's either the mother or the baby- one must die. So- are these claims just individuals claiming as they please , or is there some valid medical professionals that claim this also. Do they give the logic behind this? Is there a reference? This idea sounds ludicrist, because situations have come to my own mind that seem to fit "one must die so the other may live".Is this claim just some nutcase- or is there really something to this?Tanisha DMarie DI am under the impression you agree with the statement "no medical reason".If so- can you please direct me to a medical reference that directly deals with the popular medical reasons to abort? Please back up the belief of "no medical reason to about" with medical information.

my step mother had gotten pregnant and had to have an abortion because she was on high doses of medication that she can never come off of. if she went though with the pregnancy the child would have been severly deformed and mentally handiecapped. that would not have been fair

Hi,pro-lifers are radicals, fighting for a good cause but a tad single-minded.they have lost sight of reality.abortion should not be used as a form of birth control, but we women should have the right to make that decision.of course there are medical reasons, it happens all the time that a woman must decide to end her baby's life for medical reasons.that's all i got

When my mom had my older brother, they actually made her sign a waiver which read that if it came down to a choice between her life or the baby's, they would choose the baby's. They made her sign it while she was in the middle of labor. There are definitely cases where there are medical reasons to abort the baby.As someone else said, be wary of internet sites about abortion (pro-life and pro-choice, alike). Many of them are completely based on opinion only and not on medical fact.
