I've had asthma all my life, I'm 19 and it was really bad when I was little and then basically went away as I got older, but now for some reason, it's gone downhill a bit. I've talked to my doctor but nothing has worked so far. It's hard for me to excercise. I can not even walk up a hill without having to reach for my inhaler. I used to be a avid tennis player but now I am afraid to get on the court cuz of my asthma. So I have gained a few pounds. I was wondering if there are any excercises that anyone knows about that wont trigger my asthma?? thanks! :)

IsometricsYou can probably work up to many forms, just go slowly. Walk, don't jog. Repetitions with weights slowly and in smaller groups. Water resistance exercises. Lot of things you CAN do, you just have to figure out the slightly different ways to do them

i am with you; i use two inhalers and need them every day. The trick is, use the inhaler as prescribed; and 10 minutes before starting the walk. do not walk up hill unless you have to. hills are really bad for your lungs. you don't want to over tax your lungs. try to walk on the flats if you can.and avoid humid days; humidity is the worst possible thing for lung problems. good luck to you and keep on trying that is all we can do.god bless
