nitrates is arteriovenous dilator it causes -venous dilatation and decrease cardiac work and decrease cardiac muscle pain-dilatation of the coronary arteries which supply the heart leading to decrease cardiac ischaemia

More oxygen is reached to muscles because blood vessels are dilated, stress on heart is reduced, sometimes people feel dizziness or voimiting, this is due to SUDDEN slightly fall in blood pressure, because the inner dia of blood vessels is increased which results in blood pressure drop
