My mother died from liver problems. I believe that this was her problem and she died because her problem was never diagnosed and corrected. I was lucky and picked the right doctor who was new to this diagnostic procedure and here we are, three years later, in the whole twin cities, only two doctors do it. The symptoms: abdominal pain on the right side, aching at times, sore when pressed on, comes and goes, liver count goes up, sometimes subsides when given Cipro but comes back. Diagnosed with an ERCP. (I'm not sure I'm describing this correctly, I just know it worked for me.) This is a surgical procedure that tests the tube going into the liver to see if its muscles are flexing enough, If the test fails, the inside of the tube is scored to give it more flexibility. I never found this information on line when I was looking for help five years ago. I hope this information helps someone else.
