HPV And Cervical Cancer?

I just found out my ex-girlfriend has HPV, and her paps mear results showed mild to abnormal results relating to pre cancerous cervix changes. How serious is this, and will it get worse over time or go away on its own with the right treatment.

might be serious or might not be,only pap smear is not sufficient to rule out its severity , better way is to confirm more .For this i would suggest you to do a colposcopy ,where doctor will use a microscope to see the better view of cervix and find abnormal cells which can be then remove and further evaluate.
