Why do I have pink/red dots under my eyes after

crying? After crying an excessive amout over the last few days, I have pink and red dots under my eyes. They look the same as when someone gets hit really hard, those pink little pin prick dots. Is there a connection between the crying & the dots? Could it be something else? What can I do about it?

I do the same thing. I think it's from rubbing the tears away. I'm not really sure why. But I know it is common.

It can be caused from rubbing them, but is usually from increased blood flow to accomodate the production of tears.
