Wondering if maybe someone here can help me out.I was recently diagnosed with Bronchitis, and told that I possibly have asthma as well.Once I am better from the Bronchitis my doctor will be sending me for testing to see if I do indeed have asthma.I work in a hospital as a housekeeper, and I am always using strong chemicals. Could the chemicals be responsible for creating this?I also was wondering if asthma and allergies go hand in hand. I would like to be tested for allergies as well. And input is much appreciated.thanks

Asthma is triggered by TONS of things. The chemicals are definitely something to be concerned about. Triggers for asthma can be both allergens (pollen, dust, etc) or non-allergens (weather temperature changes, exercise-induced). Get tested for all! Good luck.

I think it might be allergies because, the same thing happened to me. You get exercise induced asthma and allergy induced asthma so, it could be both. Perhaps it would be a good idea if you wore a mask especially designed to block the fumes of strong chemicals while you work.
