Spread of Hepatitis C?

Can you get Hepatitis C from kissing (not french kissing but normal kissing)? I was wondering because I kissed someone who is rumored to have it and now I am scared about it.

Transfered through blood, urin and saliva.Go get tested and treatment to be safer.My brother got Hep C and D traced back to a sewer cleaning job. the also had HIV there. so he must be tested for life for that.This is what our local health dept is telling us and requiring of us.

No, you can't, unless you both had open bleeding sores on your lips. Hepatitis c is even very difficult to pass through sex...It's a bloodborne disease and is passed from blood to blood contact.You can get it from sharing a razor, a needle, or anything that gets blood on it...even a straw when snorting drugs, because unlike HIV, hepatitis can live a very long time outside the human body...up to 30 days. Why don't you just ask him if he has it, and then get the facts. It is a treatable disease now, although tx. is very expensive and consists of up to 48 weeks of chemotherapy with a daily drug coctail. I've been cured for 5 years now!
