What should their punishment be?I personaly think they should replace animals in testing labs.What are your thoughts and what do you think of mine?I mean adults who find children arousing. And I agree it is an illness, but seek help, don't do the crime.Death seems an easy way out to me. We might as well use their bodys to test on.

The big problem to imposing Draconian penalties for child molesting is that if the penalty for molesting starts getting too close to the penalty for murder, molesters will simply kill their victims.Well over 95% of molestation convictions occur because the victim tells an adult about the molestation. Molesters (Who are in the vast majority of cases family members or close friends) know this, and also know that getting a murder conviction when a kid just vanishes is VERY difficult. When little Sally says to her big brother "I'm going to tell", and he knows that the result is going to be (for example) 25 to life, then he's going to be very tempted to kill her and hide the body - after all, if he DOES get caught, the sentence is likely to be the same anyway, and he's MUCH more likely to get away with it.Richard

Mental Illness? Whatever you want to call they should be punished bad! I will never know what kinda of human can see children in this way but they no way do they belong on our planet. They should be hung with everyone watching!!I think what you said about being testing on is too light, they deserve much worse!

If you advocate the torture of perverts you run the risk of being regarded as a pervert yourself because the desire to torture another human being is a perverted desire.If you torture perverts you are introducing what might be termed the thin end of the wedge, where does it end? If you torture perverts you will achieve precisely nothing that helps child victims of perverts.If on the other hand you study perverts, interview them, interrogate them, study their backgrounds and their upbringing and learn everything you can about them, there is just a chance that you my learn something that may help to cure or remedy or prevent some of their evil doings.If such a study was done officially on a large scale either good would come out of it or it would not. If good did come out of it great, if not then the obvious thing to do is to ensure that perverts are not allowed their freedom, ever.
