...(only one Kidney)? About 2moths ago my 5y old got a unexplained fever, with urine dip stick my doctor found blood and proteine in his urine. He took 2 differrent antibiotics over a period of 3w. The present of blood and proteine was still there. 2+ Blood 1+Proteine. He had a cycopicy and IVP, xray of kidney, they found nothing wrong with the bladder but his right kidney is 60mm and L 110mm. I was told that this is not the reason for the blood in the urine, that there is nothing that they could do for him and that he is most probally born like that, called a Hypolastic kidney. They have done urine test again ther is a trace of blood and ketone, s.g 1.010 and pH 5.5. Nothing else was picked up, what does all of this mean could this be the kidney causing this? He gets headaches, drinks and urinate a lot. What is wrong with my son or what could be wrong?Blue, tx for your answer could it be Juvellin Diabetes even thought ther where no glucose found in the urine. I borrowed a diabetes test from a friend it came out on a reading of 5.4.
