The dermatologist told me it is partly due to genetics. My parents both had pretty bad acne. My brother had it really bad, but he got treatment. I only have a little, like one zit at a time. So I guess it depends.

probally 51%. I mean my mom has bron hair and eyes and my dad has blue eyes and blond hair. I have green eyes and strawberry blonde hair. And none of my grandparents did either. So it was one of the weird genes that just kept passing on.So, ya. Also take in the consideration of stress and skin type and hygene.You could help prevent it though. When the child turns 8-11 have him/her start washing their face in the morning or night (start out light with only one wash a day) with a facial scrub.
