Clove oil. Use a Q-Tip dipped in oil and rub it on the tooth and gums. It smells a little, and may burn some, but it really works. Also, put an ice pack on your cheek over the sore tooth.

there really isnt one. if you have a toothache its probably because you either have a cavity or some other ailment. go to the dentist or it WILL get worse.

cloves help around the tooth also lipton tea bags help by pressing the dampened tea bag against the cavity. Some time vanilla extract, by dipping a q-tip in the vanilla and pressing on the toothache.

This is only a temporary measure..... take a clove and smash the top of it into the offending tooth. It will temporarily numb the pain, and it may be a little spicy-hot to the taste, but u must go and see a dentist as soon as u can. Like I said, it's only temporary. If u can't get to the dentist soon, then try placing a warm hot-water-bottle on the side that's painful (make sure it's only warm, not hot). Or a wheat bag warmed up in the microwave will do the same thing. But please see ur dentist as soon as u can.Good luck, love. I hope this helps a little.

As a member of the dental profession, I would have to tell you to go to your dentist. You could have an infection that can only get worse and lead to the loss of one or more teeth and bone structure. You could have a cavity that could also only get worse as well. There are no home remedies to cure these problems. Do take a pain medication to help with symptoms, if there is inflammation use ibuprophin. You can also use a cold pack. I would not suggest anything warm in case of infection, it could make it worse. The clove oil mentioned in other answers helps because it is soothing to the pulp of the tooth. But I have to stress go to a dentist. I dont know the extent of your problem but if it is serious it will save you time and money to fix the problem as soon as possible.
