cotton balls, warm salty water, not too much salt. With the cotton ball dip into warm salty water and rub gently across eye one way then using anohter cottonball each time you wipe.

I am not a doctor, but from what you have just described it seems that your puppy has a red pimple and tried scratching it with his paw, and as a result the fur came out.Look, the best friend your puppy needs right now is to see a vet.And if they are closed you must be patient.Nothing bad will happen to your puppy. Is he breathing okay?Is he eating normally?Does he go to the bathroom okay?If you answered yes to all of this then your puppy is not in danger.

I would gently clean it with a cool wash cloth dampened only with COOL water & no meds. Then place a different clean wash cloth in ice water, squeeze it out & place it over the eye to reduce the swelling. I wouldn't attempt to put any meds on it for fear of getting it in the eye. For now just clean it & try to reduce the swelling, then take him to the vet first thing in the morning. DO NOT USE WARM WATER ON IT!!! Not when it is swollen, it will make it swell even more!!Good luck to you & your puppy!
