I suggest you go to see your doctor - it's important to check that kind of stuff out.

I'm not quite sure what's going on, but please go to the doctor as soon as you can just in case this is something serious.

I'm a doctor. You could have a rare heart problem. I would go and check that out right away.

Right...Stop....Think....You have chest painsYou are concerned about themYou feel illYes, these could be cause of concern, the best person to answer that is a medic face to face. However! You decide to sit at your computer and as 1000's of unqualified strangers to diagnose you. DIAGNOSIS - You are suffering from a mental condition which is causing a SEVERE inability to make sound judgments! Seek immediate refferal!

I use to have this as well. Do you drink coffee? This could directly be linked to it. A soreness in chest muscles and collar bone is pretty much like heart burn. Acid rests in the muscle causing a sore ache. Try eating some yogurt in the morning to neutralize the acid. Also, stretching your chest (although it may hurt) helps. Place your hands on either side of a door frame and try leaning forward and leaning backward. Hope it helps.

There were a lot of good things said in the other answers, and all I would add is that when I get a pain in my chest, alot of times, for me, it's gas bubbles stuck in there. I'm not sure whether it's in the muscle tissue, or something else, but often it is located right below or right underneath my boobs and I can actually go up to it with my fingers and pop it. No kidding! And if that's what it is, I will know immediately, because then, the pain is gone. If the pain still exists, then do see a doctor. It could be a heart condition especially if the collar bone area is also soar like you've been running. (Don't spend too much time trying to do what I said I do, I would see doctor first just to eliminate all other possibilities, and if all else fails, do what I said.) It sounds wierd, but if it's trapped gas, it works.Good luck and get well,Tinkerbell

I would go to the doctors because you are short of breath it could be something to do with your heart, or a respiratory illness, better to get piece of mind.
