Maybe, maybe not. Give it a couple of months, and see how it goes. Usually the drug abuse and depression go hand in hand, the drug abuse coincides with the depression, not causes it. You might have other issues you are drepessed about and the pot brings those feelings to the surface. Hence you associate your depression with your pot usage.

I wouldnt say it was the cause, but it certainly contributes to you feeling this way. There is no guarantee that you will be happy and stay happy if you give up pot, but your moods will be alot less full on, and you will be able to brush things off alot easier. It would be an idea to cut back on the pot maybe and see how you feel when your high and then when you arent.
