Well, it's a bit late to talk to the school counselor.Maybe go to another trusted adultor religious leader if you go to church, temple, etc.Whatever you do, Dont give up on her.I knew a guy who committed suicide because nobody helped him.
nothing just wait and see what happens

You just have to keep an eye on her behavior and note any changes. If you think it is getting worse, approach her mom again. Also, just be there for her, sometimes a friend is all you need to help you get through the dark times.

Take your friend to a naturopath. The mother might have her head in the sand.

Try explaining to your friend how you are feeling with out being rude and being likeDUDE! You have depression.Just ask her if everything is ok and how she feels and stuff. Then if she says that she has been feeling extreamly sad, suicidal, or homasidal then talk to her mom. her mom will have to understand then!!Good luck!

First of all why is every one on this panel assuming you are children? Maybe you are maybe your arn't lots of people have mothers when they are adults. I would talk to your friend and leave a few important numbers on her bedside table so no one else can read them saying I care and if you want to call such and such a number for help or advice whether it be a doctor clinic distraught phone line center etc. that way you show her someone cares. If you notice something dangerous suicidal tell her mom or someone who will take action seriously. p.s. if it is really you you're refering to go to a doctor and seek help.
