My brother who is 22 years old and a heroin addict just got diagnosed with hepatitis c today. They said that he has had it for at least a year and his liver enzymes are in the 2000's. I don't know the normal enzyme level but they say that it's very bad. What are his chances of survival if he starts treatment immediatley? or how much time would he have left? and is it very likely that he will need a liver transplant? Also what are the normal liver enzyme levels?please answer.
