abdomen? Over the weekend there were times when it felt like there was a lot of pressure in my pelvic region. Walking was actually uncomfortable, but sitting and laying I felt fine. There were times when if I was laying on my side with my legs bend, and I went to straighten my right leg, both my upper leg and my abdomen seemed to cramp up. Then just now, I walked to the bathroom and my uterus seemed kind of tight. But not like braxton hicks - which I've been having lately.. I thought maybe it was just because I'd been sitting for awhile and hadn't moved much since I got to work. But once my bladder was empty, the pain on the right side got more pronounced. Every step I took made it hurt. I'm guessing it's just the way the baby is laying as she definitely has her uncomfortable positions anymore. Any ideas as to what it might be?

its probably the way the baby is lying if it was more in the back and groing and more pronounced when walking it could be where the ligaments have softened but it sounds like the former to me. however dont take my word for it, if you are worried go to your midwife. good luck with the baby though!

its probably best to call your doctor... could be something minor like the baby is just cramped up and laying funny, but you dont want to take any chances. GOOD LUCK! & CONGRATS!-TTC! ♥

I assume you've told this to your doctor.Anyway, I experienced similar pressure with my 3rd child who was breech, sideways, then practically came flying out of me. She was very healthy. Lots of times the baby is just very active which is an excellent sign.Hang in there!

It could be something serious, you shouldn't feel that kind of pain unless you're already in the active phase of labor..which I hope not. I suggest you see your OB right away.

Are their any other symptoms. Foul smelling sweat or urine. Black colored stool. If you can rule out these hang in their. Minor pains are to be expected. You can use these to prepare. Use your breathing techniques you used till they pass. If they get more severe don't hesitate to call your nurse or doc. that is what they are their for. Congratulations.

It almost sounds like the baby has dropped. This usually starts later on, but as everything goes with pregnancy nothing is the same woman to woman, labor to labor. And no it does not mean you'll be goign into labor very soon, this process takes weeks, for your body to prepare. It's always different, it doesn't indicate how fast labor will be, how close it is. Just means your body is preparing for it. When the baby drops you feel pressure in your pelvic area, while all those months your baby as been floating free and turning around. The area is now cramped and little room to move. When they drop they are head down (most the time) So their head is close to your pelvic bone, so walking laying around is not as comfortable anymore. You will most likely feel like you need to go to the bathroom alot again, as in the first few months! Your legs will hurt more, more pressure in this area, slows and even irratates the blood flow. i had alot of upper leg pain, like cramps, sharp pain , not sharp knife like but pintching because of the new position of baby. you may be able to breath a lot better, another indication that baby as moved more south. This is good, it means your body is doing what it is supposed to do. The next time you go to your Dr. tell them about this, and they will give you good indiactions of how things are, position of baby. I don't see any reason to stress but it's always good to inform your Dr. if you aren't sure about something. Congrats! And Good Luck!
