take some relief in knowing that us smokers refuse to conform to the nanny state rules. I smoke when I want and where I choose and I do not care what the anti's think.

Ca. is working on a law to prevent you from smoking in your car and home. It won't fly. Idiots. They make big bucks off tobacco taxes.

I feel the same way. It is my body and it is my decision of what I want to put into it. At least I am not drinking and driving or pedaling drugs on a street corner.

Well if you want to smoke, i think you have the right to do so-however the right to choose where you do so is where i have problems with smokers.I do not want smoke in my face, it makes my eyes water, i cough, i know i just lost 3 minuets off my life, and my lungs just became full of smoke, and collected it's particles. In Ohio (my state) we passed a bill last year, banning smoking in public buildings, i love it.I just don't see why i have to suffer because of somone else's inability to control themselves, i lived with smokers my whole life. The effects are obvious on them, it's killing them and making non-smokers around them miserable. In fact, smoke hurts me so badly, i can;t even be in the same room without a cloth over my mouth, and if it's been going around for any length of time, i can't even be in the same room, or even floor as the smoker. If they want to smoke, fine but smoke alone, and away from others. Same with any other drug, i don't want crystal's mist around me because it makes you feel miserable.I just don't see why someone Else's choice in life, should force the people around them to be miserable and in fact, kill them.EDIT:Radicals would force you to quit alltogether- reguardless of the time and place you choose to commit the act.

As a smoker I know what you mean. A few people that did not like smokeing started all this bull crap. To me they should look at the heavy drinkers, my smokeing doesn't make me want to fight anyone nor does it affect my driveing. Those people need to look at how drinking affect a person and compare it to a smoker. We don't start fights from smokeing to much, or cause an accident or death from smokeing and drinkers make the cost of insurance go up also. But if you look at it the drinker has more rights then we do they can fire a person for smokeing on a job not a drinker they have to give them a chance to go get help first, they can throw you out of a building for smokeing yet the drinkers walk all over the building. I could go on and on but this gives you the idea as to what I'm saying. We are 3rd class citizens.

i bet 90% of these people who dont smoke drive cars, go for a pint or drink wine, then get in there cars and drive, how often do we hear the driver was drunk when we stopped him or her, because of the drink driving some one had been killed or injured, when i smoke i might be killing myself but no one else plus i pay extra taxes,if all smokers stop you non smokers will still moan you will be paying more tax,the government will have to get the lost revenue back some how so stop moaning get on with life, where not here for all that long anyway,i think i will go for a smoke now goodbye.
