I went to the Doctor in Oct 05 and I had a pap smear. My results came back abnormal and showed what my doctor called pre precervical cancer cells. He said that we would wait a few months run some more test and see what they say. Well I didnt go back to the doctor until Nov 07 and took another pap smear. My test results came back normal, no cancer cells or anything. So am I in the clear? Is that really possible or should i take another test? My boyfriend told me to just take it as a blessing from God.

i'd take one more, just to be sure.good luck!
Keep taking tests, you never know with cancer, it might come back, just take tests up 'till next month or a couple of months and you have your result.
According to my doctor, often these infections clear on their own. That is probably why your doctor waited and performed another pap smear. Follow your doctor's orders and make sure to have your annual exams as scheduled. If no cells were found this time, then what would there be to worry about? And practice safe sex...always. Cervical cancer is caused by a virus and is an STD. Be safe and get regular exams, and you will be fine.

I was diagnosed with precervical cancer in Dec 2000, I have had numberous "normal" pap smears and a few abnormal. I would not take it as a blessing from god, you have just been lucky that it hasn't progressed. I would have the pap smear repeated again in a few months. My Dr. has me go every 3 months to keep an eye on it.Depending on your age your pre cancer could be the result of HPV, the leading cause of cervical cancer. I was only 18 when I found out and it was determined that I have HPV. Not all strains of HPV will cause the cervical cancer but it would be a good idea to get tested and if it hapens that you test positive then you definately will want to continue with follow up paps on a regular basis.

You are not in the clear, you should continue to be under close medical supervision for years to come. There is a method of forecasting the course of such illness and it is called medical astrology. The method is to first compare the events in your life to the events in your horoscope, and once we know when the symptoms first appeared, it is possible to see which energy patterns in your natal chart will react again in the future. The exact length in which you are in danger will depend on the transiting planet. In case of Saturn up to 18 monts, in case of Uranus, up to 30 months and so on. So you really need to stay in touch with the doctors, have Pap smears regularly and submit to whatever other tests that they want.
