Kidney problems?

My dad took a blood test about a week ago and just called with the results. And they want him to take an emergancy cat scan....because Iguess there is a certian point scan of the norm for kidneys. The norm is around 0.5 around there or something and then he has 2.5. WHAT CAN IT BE? Please. I'm really worried. He has to make an appointment and everything right now and they are supposed to call him back. But i'm a worried daughter. What could it be? Please tell me honestly what might be wrong with my father. I just want to prepare myself with the possibilities.

Gosh, there are a lot of potential problems. Chances are they checked his Creatinine or Bun levels. These tests are a good indication of whether the kidneys are working correctly. Focus on the positive first, but be prepared for anything. This is something that could turn out to be nothing at all, or anything could go. But, the best thing would be to lift it up in prayer. Worrying will not help, so focus on being there and trying to encourage positive thoughts.

Let the tests tell you what the problem is... not healthy to get worried.It could be anything or nothing at all.... just something the Doc's want to rule out.Stay strong... for your father!
