Arthritis in my knee?

Here's the scoop, my doc says I have a touch of arthritis in my knee and she gave me a script which helped. That was 4 years ago. The pain has all of the sudden reappeared with a vengence. Temps in our area are starting to get really cold, which probably explains the onset. But why the 4 year hiatus of pain and tonight it feels like short stabbing pains in my knee. You opinion is appreciated.

i just got tested for arthritis in my ankle. i havent gotten the tests back yet but my doctor told me to take advil 3 times a day. you should probably take advil and then go to the doctor.
