You should see your dermatologist. If you are an adult, acne is not due to hormones that cause teen acne. It may be due to a bacteria that can be cured with a mild antibiotic which you take orally.

idk about proactive. i used that for 2 years and it didn't change much. all it did in the longrun is make my skin really oily. which hasnt gone away since.i'd suggest seeing a dermatologist and asking about products without benzoyl peroxide. that's what i did, because that stuff's too harsh for my skin also. they gave me some antibiotic topical stuff and differin. also some pills that get rid of a lot of the bacteria that causes acne. works pretty well=]there are a lot of natural stuff that may work also. if you live close to a beach, saltwater really clears up skin. i live in hawaii, but hadn't gone to the beach in years. just a few weeks ago i went and was in the water for a couple hours. it cleared up my skin a lotttt. salt water has a lot of chemicals and minerals that get rid of pimples=] another thing is zinc. a lot of people say zinc clears up your skin, so you can take supplement zinc pills.my last suggestion would be using tea tree oil. i put some on a pimple just yesterday and within a day it was gonehope you find something that'll work=]
