...illness????..........? I see 'miniclips' in my head of everything i hear or read...So vivid it's like watching a movie in HD.. I'm not depressed but sometimes these 'visions' do get me down, especially when i hear a bad news article and live it out as though i'm 'there', spooks me a bit i suppose and i find it hard to 'shut them off'.....Any Psychologists out there that might have an idea of what's going on in my over sensitive head?

Well if you feel its getting you down then go to your GP and they talk to you about it, if not don't worry too much, everyone has weird habits, when I was younger I went through a phase on repeating everything I heard on tv in my head. I just had to get out of the mindset of doing it, so try to stop yourself doing it or reduce when you do do it (like try to shut it off when u hear upsetting things), if you can't then maybe go see the doc. But don't get too hung up on thinking you must have a condition, it's only a problem if its upsetting you or its something you don't feel like you can control...we all have things different about us, it doesn't mean you have a disorder.

I'm not a psychologist or even a psychiatrist, I just play one on tv as my husband would say. I don't think what you're experiencing is abnormal just unusual and maybe a little extreme. My husband has vivid dreams and daydreams. He wakes up and they are very real to him. They definitely effect his mood. Usually they are what he calls "lottery dreams". We buy nice cars, real estate, help all our relatives with their financial woes and go on exotic trucking trips. (He's an over the road trucker). However every now and then he has a "bad" dream and he can wake up very agitated like he was just transported off the John F Kennedy after the Belknap incident from back in the 70's. He also has an almost photographic memory. He would read the school book for a class at the beginning of the year and not open it again for the rest of the year and ace all tests. Oh did i say he is a speed reader too? We all have our quirks as was stated earlier but who is to say what is normal and what isn't. Hope this helps...
