View Full Version : Im so depressed right now. help?

All I want to do is sleep. I hate crying all day but i cant make it stop. people told me exercise would help but i cry the whole time i do it too. I dont want to take pills for it and i cant afford and am no hwere near being able to go see a psychologist. i don't have anyone im close to either. All i want to do is sleep, it takes everything out of me just to get myself up int he morning to face another day. what can i do? how do i make things better?Current things and the past. I have sever anxiety and panic attacks. My boyfriend is in the military and very far away from me. I have lots of problems with the family. I dont want to be living here (canada) and its very hard for me to legally move to where i want to (USA). Im surrounded by people who are nothing like me and don't understand, feel like a complete outcast and I don't want to be like them. Have low self esteme and not happy with how i look. I also have bad vitamin deficiencies because i dont ever want to eat when im depressed. :(

You should think positive. Keep in mind that after every sad day there is a glad day. So,keep doing in right direction.

I am not a physhologist, but go away. take your backpack, just a few things, with little money, maybe for a week, just travel in the cheapest way. Actually i am not sure that it is possible for you now. Is it?Anyway, dont think to much!

hello waffles.I will talk to you every day if you like ;)You say you have noone that is close to you..You have to let people have the chance to get close to you...so I offer to talk to you every day until you get out of the funk you are in.We all have issues, but we all have a purpose too. You just need to get beyond the issues to find the purpose.remember, You may only be ONE day away from finding it!

Take yourself out of the center and revolve around the world. Listen to Hindu music or George Harrison. Realize it can be worse, and you are wasting time feeling bad for yourself. Life is just a cycle of the Samsara.

Well, is something going on to cause all this depression? Have you lost a love relationship or a job? Did someone pass away? I know the feeling. Whenever I am depressed, all I want to do is sleep also. You have to find a way to pull yourself out of your depression. Being that you cannot afford medication or therapy right now, why not try a cheaper version of it? Go on line and look up "beating depression" articles, go to the bookstore and find yourself some good up beat books. Take a vitamin supplement such as St. John's Wort or something to alleviate symptoms of depression. Pray. Meditatate. Go outside and get some fresh air. Do for yourself what you would do for a good friend. Treat yourself kindly. Figure out what it is that is bothering you and be determined to fix it. Make that your goal. Take out of your life whatever it is that is causing the depression. Good luck to you. I'm sorry you feel so bad.

Try buying a book at the store about depression so you can learn about it. If you've felt like this for a really long time then I would go to your family doctor and tell them what you just wrote. Say all you want to do is sleep and you have no motivation but you can't afford medication or psychotherapy. I think you need inspiration. Try a good inspiring book or poem. Try an Essay on Self-Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Every big book store like Border's or Barnes and Noble have a Psychology section. Just buy a cheap one for Depression or on Inspiration for the Un-Motivated. If you feel alone and you live alone try buying a pet. Dogs are a great way of motivation and having to care for it will be motivation to at least do those things and it will want to pee in the morning so it will help you get up too. Try not to feel like this. It's horrible to have to go through life hating it. This is your chance to improve your life and get healthy emotionally and mentally.

I deal with the same thing everyday...except I don't have the ability to cry...I managed to completely shut off my feelings....you just can't let things get to you....ignore whatever causes it....thats all I can say....I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of my depression.....I've had the problem since I was 12 and now I am 16...had a psychiatrist...they aren't always the best solution

You could try a natural multi-vitamin, try and find something you like, answer some questions here, there are people who do care about you, you are not alone!

Sweetheart, I am so sorry you are feeling like this. It is severe depression. Your brain chemicals are out of whack. You NEED anti-depressants. Then you will feel normal. I've been there and done it to death.There are some herbs you can try but they cost almost as much as the synthetic pills.Isn't there some kind of help you can get by going to emergency and asking to speak with a mental health professional? You would be amazed at how kind they are and how they really do understand. I did that. They can help you get your meds.Don't suffer alone any more. It's just too terrible. I cried for 4 days at a time. Over nothing. Now I'm happy and "normal".I don't have to convince myself to live another day.Reach out for help. You will get it.My heart is with you.

just spend every day as told by ur heartand always think about some jokes u have com across ur life it will never make u cryif u do so..........ull forget cryingits true in my life...u please try this it works........

First of all stop saying your not able to see a psychologist cause you are there. As far as pills you might weant to reconsider that just for the simple fact that you can't stop crying. Pills don't have to be forever but it is a start. What ever you do don't hurt yourself there is help out there but you have to do the legwork. Life is too short start living it to the best of your ability. Don't giveup your worth. Love bill

im depressed aswell....what i do is listen to my favorite music and watch soem sitcoms.you dont explain why you feel so down, so i really dunno what to say.hope someone else help u out.
