...abortion matters? Women in healthy relationships tend not to get abortions.Yet when the child is born they dont want to pay child support.

I don't know. It's more of a woman's personal issue.

Because human life matters to men just as it matters to women. Gender has no bearing on human rights and the people that support it.edit: The laws seem to be set for men to have 100% of the responsibilty yet 0% of the rewards unless the mother allows it. My friend's mother uses their son as a tool for control and/or vengence.Had a man behaved as Britney Spears has, they would have lost their children years ago.Had a man drowned his four or five children in a bathtub, he would have been given the death penalty (Texas)Had a man driven his two young children into a lake and watched then drown, he would have been given the death penalty (Carolina). You definately cannot play the "it's the man's fault" card in this rigged justice system we have.

Women by themselves cannot create a baby - it does take two. A mom and a dad should decide together. It was a choice when they decide to have intercourse. Once life is created, the only choice is life.

Cuz it takes both to make a baby. Do us guys somehow not have a legitimate stake in the baby we helped create ?

I knew a guy who had a child on the way-the girl said she would get an abortion. He pleaded with her not to have an abortion and that he would take on full responsibility-she could sign off on the child. He was the father and was willing to do the work-she wasn't. She had the abortion. The lesson here is that there are many other options than abortion. Not saying that abortion shouldn't be allowed at all-if a woman is stupid an irresponsible then she should be allowed to have an abortion and prevented from having other children. Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control.

I would think most of the men against abortion would be the ones who would stick by a woman when she is pregnant or at least pay child support. Those who are afraid of their girlfriend getting pregnant would probably be for abortion since it is a quick way out.

Because there are still so many men (and women for that matter) that believe a woman's body is the property of the community, husband, father, etc. Some say it is a moral issue.....it certainly is. Forcing your choices on others that way is very immoral to people who believe in the concept of freedom.

Because men find the problem in both cases to be poor decision making by girls.

Individually, men don't have any say - women have abortions if they want to, men can't generally stop them (they can sue, but there's not a great track record there, even if the man in question is the father), or have a man's baby over his objections, then hit him with a paternity suit.If you're talking legislation - why do men get to hold political opinions about abortion or vote on the issue - it's just a matter of equal protection. Men have voting rights, just as women do, you're not only allowed to vote on issues that directly impact you. Voting rights and political discourse /can't/ be that limitted and still be meaningful.
