Okay, I have to say. i understand your point. But don't you thinks its up to the person doing it. I was raped when I was 14 years old. By someone I did not know. I became pregnante. And yes I had an abortion. I regret it. I always have the what if question in my mind. But I am glad I did it. Because I don't know were I would be today.I don't think it would be legal if it was that bad. I am sorry you feel this way......

I agree abortion is wrong, but I think the main reason women do it is because of fear. Fear that now they have to be completely responsible for another life, and the other person who helped create this life is no where around. How is the woman supposed to feed the child, give it a place to live, what is she supposed to do with the child while she is at work. Then there are selfish reasons as well, I won't be able to go out and party with my friends, I'm going to get fat and ugly, I will be tired all the time, and so on and so forth.I agree I think it is wrong, but I'm not going to judge anyone who does do it because I have been in that situation before, where I was being told it was for my own good! It is very very scary knowing you are all on your own to raise and take care of a little life that is completely dependent upon you. However if anyone came up to me I would tell them abortion doesn't help anyone and it won't make you feel better.P.S. I didn't have an abortion I have an adorable little girl who is the light of my life.

I think it's worse when people have kids only to abuse and neglect them because they wern't wanted.Abortion is a womans choice but it does get me mad when stupid women keep getting themselves pregnant and have abortion after abortion. Pregnancy is preventable

Every woman has their reason for abortions.I personally had one in October 2006 because the pregnancy was an ectopic and put my life at risk.And for the record, the lady below me is SEVERLY incorrect about the fetus being able to feel pain at 4 weeks. A fetus can not feel pain until 26 weeks into the pregnancy.

I agree. For some reason people still think that fetus' are not living things. With all the technology that's around today it's hard to imagine that people believe that. The argument for keeping abortions legal is "what if you were assaulted and got pregnant?" Well, yes that's awful but did you know that only a very small percentage of abortions are because of assaults!! The main reason is women don't want the baby, it's not convenient, premarital sex, and other silly reasons.They are in denial that this is a person with a heartbeat and a brain. By 4 weeks the nervous system has developed and the baby can feel PAIN!! At 5 weeks the baby's heart is beating. If women and esp. teens really knew all the facts and were properly educated about the baby growing inside of them I don't think their would be so many abortions.

Yes it IS sad, but it is necessary in some situations. Can you imagine what this country would be like if we didn't have abortion? We have ENOUGH teenage mothers. Sure, you could place it up for adoption, but not all orphans become adopted and live with loving parents and have a fairytale life.. My neighbor has been in 7 different foster homes, how do you feel about that? Maybe if you weren't so judgmental, you would have had a boyfriend by now! (saw your old question)
