I recently found an article about eating primarely fruits and vegetables to obtain optimal health and weight loss. I started this about three days ago and have been eating as close to 9 servings of both fruit and vegetables as I can with some meat and non fat dairy. I also started working out about a week ago. I do 30-60 min of cardio and some mild weight training. I've lost 10LBS in the last week.I've gotten on and off the health wagon multiple times in the last few years, and have NEVER experienced this type of weight loss at the start of a program. I don't fad diet, I just keep my calory consumption under 1500 and work out. This is the first time I've made a concious effort to increase my vegies and fruits though. But I've never seen weight loss within the first month even. Is this normal? Is there something I should be concerned about? Why would I lose weight so quickly this time and not the others? I appreciate any information that can be provided on this.
