Depends on the problem, its severity, and how well it is treated/managed. But yes, there are all kinds of people who suffer from mental problems and have successful careers. For me, you have to be a little crazy to dedicate all that time to fixing up bloody messes!

It is very difficult. Because a doctor has to be mentally fit to all the operation and to give good medicine. He has to be very polite and cool brain. Doc. has to sometimes play with patient emotion to make him fit.All the good qualities are to become a doctor.But there are doctors without these qualities. So it may be possible to be a doctor or medical student with mental problem, if this problem is not much serious which will not allow the person with mental background to appear in the exam.
