People get obsessed about all kinds of things and, unfortunately, being intelligent doesn't mean you're immune. As far as height, I think 5'5" is the perfect height for a woman. You're not too tall and not too short.

Coming from a 5"10 female please just take a chill pill and be thankful your pants arent high-waters and a one piece bathingsuit doesnt give you camel toe and you didnt have to be in the back row with all the guys in your school pics!!! 5"5 isnt bad at all!!

I'm a little over 5'6" and while I feel short sometimes, I realize that I usually am a little taller than most females.Does it really bother you to a point of where you would classify this as a mental problem? If you are serious and you are that obsessed, maybe you express yourself to someone, and maybe there's really something else that is making you that anxious, but you're just focusing on your height. My IQ is about 135-140 (for as accurate as those tests could even be considered to be) and I've been on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication for years. I function like an everyday person just doing their normal business. IQ has nothing to do with chemical imbalances/mental disorders (look at Einstein and John Nash!!!). I'd just look into your thought process a little more if it's really distracting you that much and you are serious.

You sound just like me a few years ago. I'm also 5'5" and always felt that I should be taller. I kept worrying about it until I faced an illness that made me re-evaluate my priorities. I do not think you have a mental problem, you just have to learn to accept they way you look.Wear high heels, that always make me feel better. Also, every time you start worrying about your height, force yourself to think about something else. I know it may sound silly, but it works. You are very smart, and you know it, you should be able to change your perspectives and I'm sure you can do it. Good Luck :)
