age 27.rode 1 ride at amsnt park 3 days ago.on ride got dizzy & headache.fine otherwise.3 hrs later sitting at home out of nowhere got squeezing pain in center chest(heart area) that went to stabbing pain.then gone in under 10 seconds.then later happened again same way.fine otherwise.now 3 days middle chest aches and still having problem with sudden sharp pain and also feels like someone is pushing on middle chest and feel i cant breathe.has radiated to left shoulder & blade back area too.YES I went to doctor and blood pressure was 150/90 at rest.had 1 minute EKG was fine.had chest CT scan w/ contrast it was fine.having stress test in 2 days and MRI of head(still have headache that started on ride.) my ? is if there was a heart problem would the CT scan not show it?if pulled muscle would that not show up? what else could it be?doesnt CT scan show all?if it is heart what else can be done to tell?dr said if episodes doesnt happen w/ test then no way to tell if it is heart.just scared....no pain in jaw .only in center chest & to left shoulder and left back shoulder blade. doing anything physical also does not cause pain just heart beat rises, more trouble breathing, and am very very tired.of course still have headache too.been healthy up until now this only happened after riding the extremely scary ride.blood pressure has always also been in normal range never this high and never felt anything like i am.thanks for all answers.okay i felt fine prior.the ride was terrifying for me only rode it for my son.no pain though until hours later but felt fine not sick at all.just severe headache that happened while on ride.breathing in deep does not change the pain level at all.moving arms or upper muscles does not cause pain either.pressing on chest causes no pain.pain feels deep like pressure all the time with sudden onsets of sharp intense pains.i can feel the sharp pain coming on like a squeezing then sharp, sharp pain then gone and back to feeling of heavy pressure and at times very hard to breathe.i do have history of heart disease i am at very high risk.can a plain chest x-ray show heart troubles of any kind? had that too and it was normal.can blood work not tell something he never offered to do any.just want answers/understanding this is scary at my age.

Lots of questions. First the CT will not show heart problems, they were looking for lung problems like a clot in the lung (pulmonary emboli). Pulled muscles will not show up on any test. The MRI of the head will show if there is a stroke happening in there. A lot of people have strokes while riding on rides in amusement parks, especially the ones that put a lot of force on the body like roller coasters or the ones that drop you suddenly. You can throw little blood clots that can end up all over the place in your body. You may have pulled a muscle or two. Unless heart disease runs in your family, I think you are reading too much into the pain. If you want to make sure you don't have clots in the heart muscle you will need a heart catheterization.

CT scans are just X-rays made 3D by a computer program. They do not show all. There are many things that cannot be picked up on CT. Usually MRI are better for soft tissue problems. It almost sounds like a pericarditis (often a viral infection) - does it hurt more when you lie down or when you breathe in? Did you have signs of a flu-like illness before?CT scans generally cannot detect things like a heart attack - the exercise test and angiographies are used for that. At your age it is more likely viral pericarditis unless you have some weird genetic disorder (are you tall with really long fingers? or have a murmur at birth?). Make sure you discuss your worries with your doctor - they should be able to help you with your fears.

Sounds very serious to me. Normal EKG just means you have had no tissue damage from an actual heart attack.Sounds like an unusual spasm in a cardiac artery. Foods with more arginine are supposed to help with nitric oxide production that relax blood vessels. Go to a very low fat diet, and get more fruitm especially berries of all kinds in your diet. Eat and live as if you have somewhat severe cardiovascular disease.I had heavy unstable angina, out of nowhere on vacation. Was not allowed to come home for 10 days. Went to ER Wednesday, angiogram Thursday, triple bypass surgery 7:00 AM Friday. I had the three main arteries 99%, 99% and 80% blocked.I still have many other partially blocked arteries, and get angina whenever I eat anything oily or fatty, so I don't.
