hepatitis and most viruses cannot live much longer than a few hours without a host. it could not "cause" hepatitis unless someone who used it had hepatitis to begin with.never say never though.

The applicator has only been in you? It's contaminated with spermicide and your own secretions, plus the bacteria that live there. No new virus has been added to the mix.I suppose if you share an applicator with someone else without washing it you could get a virus from them, but I would guestimate that the chances of that are close to negligible.By the way, transmitting hepatitis C sexually is very inefficient. (about .01 transmissions per couple per year of intercourse). Hepatitis B is much more efficient, closer to 1 per couple per month of intercourse.
