36 and 1/2 weeks pregnant, sharp pain in...

...lower abdomen...? I'm having some seriously sharp pains, like lightning bolts shooting in my vagina and pubic area, and a lot of pressure there as well, and heavier discharge than normal. I have a doctors appointment today, but what could this be? Should I ask her about it? Is this the beginnings of labor?

Sounds like the beginning of labor. Call your doctor and tell him/her what you're experiencing. Congratulations!!!!!

i have that right now too... but its only when i have to go to the bathroom and i am walking around. i am almost 33 weeks pregnant. good thing i have a dr. appt. tommorrow

im 39 weeks and having the same thing, have been having this pain on and off for days now. if the pains get a regular pattern and close together then call your doctor. But as you have a doctor app today theres no harm in asking while your there.

That could definately be the beginning of labor, especially with the heavier discharge. Have you lost your plug? Of course it could also be the ligaments stretching down there and the pressure of baby lying right on top of your pubic area. Definately tell your dr today. You should be getting pelvic checks every week from now on so she'll be able to tell. Good luck!!

it sounds like contractions! you are going to your doc. appt then pls do tell themyou maybe not leave the doc. place and come home with a beautiful baby! good luck!
