My cat has been meowing very excessively lately. I thought he was just bored or wanted to go outside. But I also see his hind legs shaking (like a tremor) sometimes when he lies down. Right now he was sleeping and still seemed to be shaking / having a tremor all over in his sleep. And his nose is dry and warm, not wet and cold as usual. Should I take him to the vet (I probably will) and what could be the cause of these symptoms? My mom feeds him a lot of tuna so could it be too much mercury? I know tuna is a very mercury-intense fish. Thanks.I have been feeding less tuna lately but my mom always treats him to tuna, usually several times a week. Also I forgot to mention he is just 8 months old. He behaves completely normally other than the shaking/tremors and I just noticed the warm/dry nose today. The shaking is minor but seems to be involuntary. I will definitely take him to the vet but am just curious at the moment about what this could be.

Take your cat to the vet. Also you should probably feed him dry cat food, because it doesn't have mercury or anything.

Take him to the vet. As soon as possible.Do not feed a cat anything but cat food, and preferably dry. Humans digest food differently, so feeding your cat the tuna could have harmed its digestive system. Also, tuna is VERY high in protein. The main reason animals have such a short lifespan is because of such a high protein diet. He could be going into kidney failure.
