do? I can't go to the doctor right now, we have insurance from Humana and they have denied coverage for my sister and me until further notice, even though we should be covered through my dad. I've had bronchitis for 4 months. The cough will die down for a weeks and then come back with a vengeance the second I think it's gone for good. I went to the doctor in September and got antibiotics that didn't make a difference and some cough medication with refills that I can't get filled because of the insurance problems. I'm 17 and in school, it really affects my concentration in class when I'm hacking a lung out. What can I do?I took the antibiotic four months ago, in early September. We're trying to straighten things out with the insurance, but we don't know how long it's going to take.

I've had bronchitis before too (it sucks). Medication should have helped but if it hasn't so far, try eating cold foods. Continue to take the antibiotics on top of that also. Give it more time and it should die down.

Have your dad look into whether his insurance is required to cover an illness that was diagnosed before your coverage was denied. If your doctor diagnosed you and gave you treatment that did not resolve the problem, your insurance company might be required to continue paying for your doctor visits until that particular problem is resolved. Also, you can call that doctor and let them know the antibiotics did not work and he may be able to prescribe you a different treatment without an office visit. Some bacteria are resistant to some antibiotics, so doctors don't often get it right the first time. Just some ideas. Good luck!

Sit in the bathroom with hot water running. The steam will make you feel better and losen you up.Then when you go to school ask the school nurse if there a free clinic you could go to. Some hospital take people free in Emergency. Good luck to you. Hope you feel better.

Friend, I was going to say exactly what Nora did in the first answer. I'll pray for you too.
