...out dangerous for his health? my 10 month old has bronchitis and we are supposed to go to my inlaws tonight to open gifts but im worried that its not a good idea to take him out. Anyone have any ideas? they live a few minutes away and we would be gone for a couple of hours. I just dont want to make him any sicker.

Fresh air isn't a bad thing, even if it's cold fresh air. As long as he doesn't get too tired out playing, you can feel safe going to the in-law's.Are there other babies or older people (frail) there who might catch cooties from the baby though?

cover his head with a blanket while walking up to house and keep him in a warm area of the house.

Just like you would treat yourself. Wrap him up really well and keep him covered. He should be fine. My mom took me on a plane with bronchitis from CA to NC. LOL! That was a horrid idea, but at 24 I am fine. Your 10 month old is going to be just fine. Enjoy your Christmas Eve. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

First of all don't smoke. keep all your windows open " just a crack ", IF you want some air, (only 2 times a day) For only 30 minutes.Don't use any kind of sprays. . No lysol. No spray deodorants. No spray perfume.and DON'T under any case at all take the baby out if the wind is blowing . You should never , never bundle a young baby or toddler so tight that it has no circulation, a t-shirt, one sweatshirt, and a good coat with a liner will be enough. A baby can get a fever when bundled too tight. (Not to make you paranoid.)God bless you, happy holidays, and don't obsess about ANYTHING>You are a good MOTHER!
