Yes, there are A and C versions. Link 1 is on the "A" strain, link 2 is the "B" strain, and 3 is the "C" strain. These are the CDC fact sheets, so you're getting the straight info, not the crock of S*** that you would find in wikipedia

Hepatitis B vaccine is available for all age groups to prevent hepatitis B virus infection. SIGNS & SYMPTOMS About 30% of persons have no signs or symptoms. Signs and symptoms are less common in children than adults. jaundice fatigue abdominal pain loss of appetite nausea, vomiting joint pain CAUSE Hepatitis B virus (HBV)

B is caused by bacteria, C is from a virus and is the most dangerous kind, A is the least dangerous.
Hepatitis B is a viral infection of the liver which is usually contracted via direct blood contact, or sexual contact. Hep A is contracted through fecal-oral contamination, Hep C through blood contact- most commonly IV drug use. There is also a hep D which infects people infected with hep B.

Hepatitis B is spread by shared needles and promiscous sexual behavior. Hepatitis A is the most common and is often spread by contaminated food. There is an "alphabet soup" of hepatitis diseases some viral some bacterial. And none should be taken lightly.

hepatitis implies injury to liver characterised by presence of inflammatory cells in the liver tissue.hepatitis A,B and C are all viral hepatitis.hepatitis B is caused by hepadnavirus. identified methods of transmission include blood (blood transfusion, now rare), tattoos (both amateur and professionally done), sexually (through sexual intercourse or through contact with blood or bodily fluids), or via mother to child by breast feeding (minimal evidence of transplacental crossing). However, in about half of cases the source of infection cannot be determined. Blood contact can occur by sharing syringes in intravenous drug use, shaving accessories such as razor blades, or touching wounds on infected persons.Hepatitis A or infectious jaundice is caused by a picornavirus. It is transmitted by the orofecal route, transmitted to humans through methods such as contaminated food. It causes an acute form of hepatitis and does not have a chronic stage. The patient's immune system makes antibodies against hepatitis A that confer immunity against future infection. Hepatitis C originally "non-A non-B hepatitis") is caused by a flavivirus. It can be transmitted through contact with blood (including through sexual contact where the two parties' blood is mixed) and can also cross the placenta. Hepatitis C may lead to a chronic form of hepatitis, culminating in cirrhosis. It can remain asymptomatic for 10-20 years. Patients with hepatitis C are susceptible to severe hepatitis if they contract either hepatitis A or B, so all hepatitis C patients should be immunized against hepatitis A and hepatitis B if they are not already immune. The virus can cause cirrhosis of the liver.

Yes, their's A,B and C.Hepatitis B is a liver disease.Hepatitis B spreads by contact with an infected person's blood, semen, or other body fluid.Hepatitis (HEP-ah-TY-tis) makes your liver swell and stops it from working right. You need a healthy liver. The liver does many things to keep you alive. The liver fights infections and stops bleeding. It removes drugs and other poisons from your blood. The liver also stores energy for when you need it.Hepatitis A is caused by a virus.Hepatitis A is spread by close personal contact with someone else who has the infection.~eating food that has been prepared by someone with hepatitis A~drinking water that has been contaminated by hepatitis A (in parts of the world with poor hygiene and sanitary conditions)Hepatitis C is caused by a virus.Hepatitis C is spread by contact with an infected person's blood.~sharing drug needles.
