Ok so a few day ago I woke up and ate some crunchy cereal, and sometimes it would cause a small ache in my left jaw just at my cheekbones. I thought I had slept on it wrong and ignored it. For a few days everything was fine. Then, about 2 days ago, it started aching when I ate toast. It ached pretty bad, not REALLY bad but enough to make me stop chewing. Then I had another piece to find out if it was Ok, and it was fine! I could eat fine. But then, ever since the toast off and on my left jaw around my cheekbone area hurts when I yawn or open my mouth too wide. Sometimes it hurts really bad, sometimes it's bare-able. And sometimes it hurts back into my head. I think it might be an ear infection, but I'm not sure. I'm worried now though it's not going away on its own.

You could have an abscessed tooth. You probably need to see a dentist or an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor quickly. Regardless of the source, it's a sign of an infection and you need to get that checked out ASAP.

You could either be grinding your teeth at night or gritting your teeth (TMJ) Tempomandibular Jaw (I think) It's just sore. Not much you can do but try to reduce stress. If you have your wisdom teeth have them checked, otherwise, take some Motrin.

You're not taking Fosamax (for osteoporosis ) are you? If you are, it could be serious trouble, and you'd better go see your doc.I can think of other possibilities- dental problems (TMJ) or an ear infection- all of which suggest- see your doc!Good luck.
