Over the last several months I have had diarrhea often and seem to visit the bathroom frequently. This is almost always accompanied by stomach cramps or some typ of stomach discomfort. Could I be suffering from IBS?

It's quite possible. I know several people who have been diagnosed with IBS. The problem is that IBS is a syndrome- a collection of symptoms. No one knows exactly what causes it and though treatments are effective for some people, they are not for all.

You could also have a bacterial imbalance in your digestive tract. You could be allergic or intolerant to something you are eating. You could just be lacking fiber in your diet.

If this is interfering with your life, see a doctor!

diarrhea is really a bad disease. we need to rush to bathroom everytime in every few gaps of time. and i think we should really be conscious to this disease, because this disease may invite some other big problems too.

many people dies every year from this diarrhea.

I've never really consider diarrhoea to be a disease - more of a symptom that something is amiss in the GIT. As for this case it could well be IBS if you have abdo pain and change in bowel habit. Symptoms are often made worse by eating something unhealthy, stress or infection.
